I have an M5 a78l USB 3 mobo and I'm planning on getting an fx 8350. I want to get the arctic freezer 13 cpu cooler but I'm worried that it's so big it'll cover the ram slots. Can someone please confirm that this will not happen or what I can do to stop it happening. Thanks in advance

Solution
It will be fine. Due to the cooler having to mount to the AMD retention bracket, you are limited to having the fan facing the top of the case or the bottom with that cooler. So, the widest part of the cooler will not interfere with the RAM slots. Besides, the fan is designed so it can be raised up a bit on the heat sink if necessary.

But if you are planning on OC'ing the FX-8350 on that board, I would advise you either don't or do it very mildly.

Ok. Thanks for the quick response. Is there anything else I should worry about before buying this cooler?

No. Just that there are probably better coolers at that price point.
If you need a small 92mm cooler due to height restrictions, this less expensive 92mm TX3 is a great cooler. I've used a couple in different builds. It has the added benefit of being able to mount in any of 4 directions on an AMD retention bracket. Since you won't be OC'ing the FX-8350 on that board (at least not much), it will cool great.

Plus there are the ones that tradesman1 suggests.
