[SOLVED] CPU Cooler bent?

Solution
It's hard to tell if it's bent from the video. But if it IS bent I'd check mounting first to make sure it's not lifted on the side close to the I/O connectors. But if it were, it would probably not be cooling well at all.

If it really is bent you'd have to bend it back. You need to completely remove it from the motherboard, of course. I can't imagine how it came to be bent though...those 4 heat pipes form 8 vertical supports that would be very hard to bend. That will also make bending it back vertical very difficult. I really don't think this is the case. If the heatsink is new I'd take it back for exchange, though, if bent

Assuming it's not really bent nor lifted you can move the fan to the I/O connector side of the heatsink and...

Assuming it's not really bent nor lifted you can move the fan to the I/O connector side of the heatsink and mount it there. Mount it so it's sucking through the fins instead of pushing. There's no loss in efficiency doing so and it clears the interference to the RAM sockets underneath.

Correctly installed air cooler must be directly perpendicular to motherboard. Otherwise it partially lose thermal contact, having impaired cooling in result.

If only fan is skewed, but radiator is straight, rearrange fan position.

If radiator is skewed too, remove cooler completely. Try to determine why it is skewed. Maybe it was installed with wrong mount assembly for different CPU type or radiator was installed backwards. Clear old thermal paste from CPU. Then install radiator back correctly with applying new dose of thermal paste.
