CPU cooler with fan and water cooling?

I was wondering if there is a cpu cooler that is not just a water block but has a fan on it so it can work like a normal cooler but can also be used in water cooling similar to some of the republic of gamers graphics cards.POSEIDON 980
In my next pc build i really want o do water cooling but i will not water cool the cpu unless the have a cooler like this because i don't want to half to worry about maybe spilling the coolant and losing it or running out i can just use the fans. I plan on getting a rog gpu with water cooling and fans but i dont want to half to rely on water cooling alone 24/7

Nope, nothing of the sort exists because of the way a cpu waterblock works. Its really not worth getting a Poseidon card either; get a regular air cooled 980 (if you really want to cool on water put a waterblock on it. You can just get a all in one liquid cooler that you never need to do anything to like the corsair h100i if you want to liquid cool your cpu without having to make the loop and maintain it

ok thanks, i do not mind caring for water cooling the fans are just kind of backup. I guess ill water cool my cpu without a fan then. What is so bad about the Poseidon cards. I have heard installing a water block is risky and I do not want to take the chance. I have never water cooled a pc before

There is nothing bad, its just that it is really, really expensive for a 980. I don't know if the 980 does but several asus motherboards and Poseidon cards had/have aluminium waterblocks which isn't so good for corrosion if you have a copper waterblock.

So aluminum is bad for water cooling? The 980 has copper and the motherboard i have now is the asus maximus formula 6 which can be water cooled and also has copper.

Thats fine then. Its just bad to mix different metals in a loop as it causes corrorsion
