CPU Cooling Advice for 8700K

I've been on a i5-2500k for about 7 or 8 years. I'm currently building a new updated PC, kind of my dream build and I'm stuck on cooling.

I have an i7-8700k with an ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E and 16GB GSkill TridentZ 3000mhz RAM (2x8GB), with an ASUS Strix 1080 GPU. I'm looking at 2 different cases, however, they will have the tempered glass side.

So for cooling, originally, I wanted to go with an AIO water cooler. Mainly for aesthetics and since the board, the RAM and the GPU are all RGB sync, figured it'd look pretty cool. After reading ALOT for a few months (I'm such a procrastinator), I'm uneasy as far as leaking, maintenance, fail rate etc go with water coolers. I don't plan on delidding my CPU, and maybe a slight OC in the future.

So I was now thinking, Noctua D15S, but after upgrades to make it look to my liking, I'm basically in the price range of an AIO anyway, and it's a bit of an eye sore to have all this lighting and then a big ass block in the middle of the MOBO.

Any recommendations on AIO that don't fail as much, or any experiences ya'll can share to kind of ease my mind on transitioning from Air to Water cooling? Or should I just stick to Air regardless of the aesthetics? If just air cooling, then just the Noctua or is there a more aesthetic pleasing one you guys can recommend?

Budget I'd say about $150, main use will be gaming, newer games, highest settings as possible. Purchases will be made in USA.
