CPU cooling questions

So I am building a gaming PC here pretty soon. The processor I have picked out is an intel core i5 4670k. I do plan on overclocking it eventually. Hoping to get around maybe 4.2 GHz. I know I could probably do more, but 4.2 would suit me fine.
The problem is I'm having trouble deciding what kind of cooling I want to use. Conventional air cooling, or closed circuit water cooling? I've heard that the closed loop water coolers are great, and have very little chance of leaking. One that has stood out to me in particular is the corsair h100i. I see good reviews everywhere I look. But would I be able to get by just fine with a high end conventional cooling system? they are much cheaper, and there isn't any kind of fluid that could potentially leak all over my system. A conventional system I see a lot of good reviews about is the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. So if I were to shoot for 4.2 GHz, what would I be better off with?
I have also heard things about how your CPU cooler could block your RAM. How can I be sure this won't happen before I purchase all of the parts I want?

Thanks in advance.
