How do I take the fan off? Do I just rip it?If you upgrade to a liquid cooler you will need to clean the old paste off and reapply new if the new doesn't come pre-applied , most do.
Do I have to heat it up anything or scrape it off? Or will I be able to pull it offVery carefully.
Also, will I have to clean the CPU? And will I have to take the CPU out of the motherboard? Or can I do it with in my caseVery carefully.
Ok thank you, I’ll be able to remove the fan without taking it out though correct?Yes , needs to be cleaned for a new cooler. No need to take it out. Just be careful while cleaning.
Also what’s a good liquid cooler to get? One that will work good and isn’t above $80
Ok thank you. Do you have any recommendations for a liquid cooler that would work for my ryzen 5 2600x?After you unscrew the wraith spire cooler GENTLY twist the cooler to break the thermal compound seal. If you don't you'll pull the processor out of the socket.
It's only a 65w tdp chip. Any 240mm rad will be plenty so I wouldn't go crazy. Just get one that looks good in the aesthetics department that is a reasonable price.
I personally wouldn't purchase an AIO for 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen for two reasons:
- 65w tdp chip so they run very cool.
- They aren't great overclockers.
Ok so a 240mm liquid cooler would be fine? They come with rads correct?2nd gen
Yes just make sure it's an AIO (All In One). I personally would invest the money on other areas of your build. Can you list your specs please?Ok so a 240mm liquid cooler would be fine? They come with rads correct?
Would this one work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075YPG52N/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1&psc=1
My specs are GTX 1060 3gb, amd ryzen 5 2600x, AsRock b350 pro4, 16 gb of ddr4 2400mhz ram. I just recently replaced these so I am not looking to do it again, so I would rather overclock. 144hz and I’m pretty sure 1080P. It is an Asus Vg248QEWhat's the resolution and refresh rate of your monitor?
Sometimes I drop below 160 FPS and I want to overclock my CPU since it is more CPU usage. What's the resolution and refresh rate of your monitor?
Leakage from what?Is it possible, current leakage can increase the temperature and we need cooling.
That didn't answer my question. FPS and refresh rate are not one and the same.Sometimes I drop below 160 FPS and I want to overclock my CPU since it is more CPU usage.
