I have an amd ryzen 2600x with the stock cooler that comes with it (wraith I believe). It has thermal paste applied and I was wondering if it is possible to replace it with a liquid cooler. Thanks

I don’t think my motherboard supports 3200 and I just bought 2400. And 3200 would also cost more. Also would the ram speeds affect my fortnite FPS if all of my ram isn’t even being utilized?
It does:

The quantity/capacity of the ram being utilized has nothing to do with speed in latency and mhz. Ryzen benefits from fast memory.

Do get a significant difference in performance you'd have to address both. What makes you think you're getting inadequate performance now?
Well not inadequate but idk if you know much about fortnite, but at the end of the game fps dropping is normal so I want to minimize that and get the most FPS I can

Ok, ok. Now lets get back on topic.
Are you actually seeing temps on your cpu that indicate a thermal problem? The cpu will not automatically clock higher and higher if you liquid cool it. I personally doubt that you need a liquid cooler for better performance.

If the standard cooler is not quiet enough take a good air cooler like noctua u12s c14s or whatever fits your case. Other brand is be quiet! with the dark rock pro 4 or dark rock tf.
You can get an absolute premium air cooler for less than a cheap aio. The buy will cool your cpu as good and survive an aio for serveral years of service. Those coolers are rated for 200w+ and we are talking roughly like 125w for a ryzen 2600x on overclock?

Ok I will look into it.. I do believe the 2600x does autoclock a little bit, I did see some videos on it. So which air cooler should I get for my CPU and which ones for the case?

Ok what air cooler do you think I should get for my 2600X to keep it around 40c? Should I get the ML240R liquid cooler ($110)https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...Ch0qdQ3rEAkYASABEgJO__D_BwE&lsft=BI:514&smp=Y

Or should I get an air cooler? And can you link which one I should get that’s under $100? Thanks

For air coolers it depends on your case. How tall of a cpu cooler can you fit?

Top of the charts are a lot of noctuas like the NH D15 or C14s or U12s. Be Quiet! with the Dark Rock 4 or Dark Rock TF. Scythe makes some good coolers too.

Check out their websites for details on the specs. Those coolers are not worse performance wise than a 240 aio.
