Question CPU core limit exceeded

Recently got a new laptop - Acer Nitro V 15 - ANV15‑51‑914J
i9 13900H
RTX 4050
32gb RAM (default 1 x 16gb 4800mhz and i added 1 x 16gb 5200mhz as they didnt have a 4800mhz in stock)

The first problem I had was the fps wasnt as good as expected, GPU was only running at 30% and I had set Nvidia and windows settings to Nvidia GPU, I then set windows to high performance and still didnt help, I then changed to high performance in NitroSense app and my laptop utilised the GPU fully and my fps was great,

Then after playing for a bit or go into a heavy area like when i went to a settlement in New world my fps would drop from 70 to 25fps, but when i leave the settlement my fps never recovers, it also happens on DayZ at a custom trader, or on Escape from tarkov after playing a bit with some mods

On HWinfo64 I noticed the core limit exceeded is "yes" whenever my fps drops. My cpu temp isnt going about 80 whenever this is happening

Throttlestop FIVR is unavailable
Cant undervolt CPU in BIOS
Ive set maximum processor state to 99%
Ive tried set PL1 to 45W and PL 2 to 110W on Throttlestop

Anyone had this problem? Or know of a solution?

Thanks :)

Doesn't really matter, if your power limit is 45W it will stick to that, if the core limit gets triggered at 45W you should go higher if you think that that is the issue.
But since you have a relatively big GPU in a laptop you should go into bios and see what power limits there are for the whole system.
Common sense would say that GPU performance dropping due to power or temp issues would have a much bigger impact on gaming performance than the cores.

Post a screenshot of the ThrottleStop TPL window.

Some games are changing the turbo power limits and then never set them back to their original values. They should not be doing this.

Check the ThrottleStop Log File box and run a log file while playing a game for at least 15 minutes. Copy and paste the data to www.pastebin.com

That disables Intel Turbo Boost which will kill the performance of Intel mobile CPUs. Set that back to 100%.

I've updated my BIOS and it looks like it could have fixed it, thank you though!!
