I sometimes despair when watching presenters mis-handling CPUs, RAM, M.2 drives and GPUs on Gamer's Nexus, Linus Tech Tips, etc. They probably won't be using the device next year and it gives a false impression to novice builders on how to handle static sensitive chips.
Still, it'll probably never go wrong, even if you do zap it with static. A badly handled overclock could do more harm, or fitting a metal spacer in the wrong place and shorting out the motherboard.
