[SOLVED] CPU Error light on motherboard after game crashing

Hey guys, just built my first gaming rig, and it has been running fine with every game I play, except for Subnautica.

It'll randomly crash every 15 minutes or so and reboot the PC, with the red error light coming up for the CPU. I checked the temp afterwards, and it was around 60C. What would be the cause of this? I've got a Ryzen 5 3600X, with a CM Hyper 212 Black on it, motherboard is the b450 tomahawk max.

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the bios priority correctly after that)

Checked windows integrity and checked both drives for errors. I'll turn off my XMP profile and see if the error occurs again. Out of curiosity (because im still super new to this) how would turning up the ram speed cause it to do this?

@kbrog3 I don't know what that guy means by "upping the ram speed and voltages" as it will not help.
However he did say try updating the bios, so grab a good flash drive.
Format it in fat32, put bios files on it as stated by the manufacturer, reboot the machine and get uefi aka cmos setup.
There should be an option that will allow you to flash the motherboard.

Check these 2 links, someone else had the same problem, try unplugging everything for 20 minutes.
Come back to it and just plug in the keyboard and mouse and see what happens.

i have a similar UNSOLVED PROBLEM. my pc has this constantly on when it is powered off- shut down.

i think the light is supposed to STAY OUT when the pc is SHUT DOWN, or does this light really need to be on all the time to inform me that everything is working fine?

i think it should be off, and i have a unsolved problem.

Ryzen is a bit more complicated when it comes to RAM. It might work out of the box with the XMP profile, but not always. The memory controller can be set in more ways than the RAM manufacturers program into their RAM sticks. Some settings might have to be changed in order to run it stable.
