cpu fan error

have just built a gaming pc z87 sabertooth mobo dark rock 2 cooler when I powered it up it comes up cpu fan error its plugged into correct slot in bios its red highlighted running at 500 rpm cpu temp 78 degrees is something wrong here hlp plz 🙁

I hope that your not running 78*C on idle!

Common problem with Asus MBs. the BIOS is looking for a minimum 600 RPM. Just reset the minimum fan speed setting to 475 RPM.

That is drastically out of whack! Should be 28* to 32*C.

Something is wrong with your cooler installation. I suggest that you remove the cooler, clean it well with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth or coffee filter. Do the same cleaning to the CPU. Apply new thermal paste and reinstall the cooler making sure that it is properly fitted and making good contact with CPU.
