I have had an issue with my motherboard before where it wouldn't work (ASUS P5B Deluxe) I have gotten a new mobo (Same one) it came along with a PSU (ARTIC 750w). I have put the mobo into the case everything stayed the same but the PSU and mobo (obviously) when I tried to turn it on everything was fine (after weeks of it not working :bounce: ) I got a message saying that the memory is placed in differently or something press enter to clear setup, i tried but nothing. Suddenly the computer just turned off. When i tried to turn it back on it gave me an error saying that my HDD was not detected so i unplugged it and plugged it back in, this time it gave me an error that it has a CPU Fan error :/, I press F1 to get to the BIOS and when I'm setting the time and date the computer just switches off. The computer switches off at random times during start up.

Spec:
ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi
7 GB RAM
1TB WD HDD
Intel Pentium D (was overclocked) but I noticed that it gave me an error that its at default speed, this happened once.

Solution
Take out your motherboard and reseat it, and then take out and reseat the CPU cooler correctly.

Not sure about the second problem.

It came like that when i bought it from my friend when he was moving away.

Okay well this is quite weird because i didn't get the CPU Fan error but I got the following:

No IDE H.D.D. Detected
CMOS Setting Wrong
Overclocking failed! Please enter Setup to re-configure your system.

After it turned off. i turned it back on and it gave the CPU Fan error along with the No IDE H.D.D. Detected error... after the third time I got to the windows 7 welcome screen then it turned off...

I've tired one RAM stick and it got up to my desktop but it turned off the second my wallpaper displayed i also noticed that the CPU heatsink is hot and when i usually turned it on it wouldnt get that hot that quick... could it be that i have to replace the cooler to get rid of the CPU Fan error?
The CMOS also didnt do anything, still gave me wrong CMOS settings

Update:

I've turned the computer on its side (Motherboard facing up) and the PC has turned on and it working for a good 10 Minutes now. Could it be that i noticed the heatsink is wobbling and it might not be fully touching the CPU and its getting hot fairly fast and it thinking that its a CPU Fan error?

Also i think that the IDE problem is because when i go into my computer i see that i have a floppy drive :A any suggestions on how i can get rid of the floppy drive?

I have the issue fixed!

I went and bought a new CPU Cooler that uses screws not push pins...
also i grabbed a new case and some fans 😛

I moved everything and it all works perfectly, the CPU isn't even getting that hot as it did before 😀

I just need to get rid of the 'Floppy Drive' from the system somehow.
