[SOLVED] CPU Fan error !

I have a Ryzen 3 2200G CPU and fan. All appear to be working properly. I have a ASUS Prime B450M-A mobo. Upon boot I get a CPU Fan error ! followed by F1 to go into bios. From the BIOS I can click on the boot file to boot, install windows etc. But it always hangs on the fan error! Bios is not great either. Won't save certain changes. Flash bios from with bios did nothing. Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Where did you plug in the fan connector?

Here is your motherboard manual. On page 1-1 you'll find the motherboard diagram. Near the dimm slots, top-left, are 2 x 4 pin connectors: CHA_FAN2 and CPU_FAN. Make sure the cooler fan is plugged into the second one.

I got it fixed, just had the bios ignore the fan speed and it works just fine now. Thanks for your help.
