Hi All,
I just built my new rig and was wondering which way I should orient my cpu cooling exhaust. I currently have an exhaust fan on the top of my case and one at the rear but the back of my case is facing a wall with about 2 inches of room. As of now, I built my case with my airflow going up and out of the case, but I'm wondering if this is ideal since this means the cpu fan is pulling air from the GPU. Also, this means I had to switch the orientation of the fans being in the middle and front rather than middle and back of the cpu fan. Under these conditions im getting around ~30 degrees idle temps on my cpu and while running a game like wow around ~40. Stress tested using P95 for around 20 min, I hit at most 80 degrees but 95% of the time i was coasting at around 60 degrees.
My build is:
intel 4790k core i7
noctua nh-d15
evga gtx 980
phanteks enthoo luxe
Thanks for your help!
