Hello TM,

I was looking for a more silent CPU fan/cooler and I found the following;

https://www.alternate.nl/Cooler-Master/XDream-i117-cpu-koeler/html/productRatings/893286?

I was wondering if that would fit my current motherboard?

MOBO: m4a88t-m

P.S. Will 19dB be silent? (My current one sounds like a vacuum cleaner...)

Thanks!

This www.industrialnoisecontrol.com/comparative-noise-examples.htm should give you an idea of the noise level. In general, as long as the cooler is designed to fit on your CPU, you'll have no problems with motherboard fitment problems. Where you'll run into trouble is RAM. Sometimes the CPU cooler's fan hangs over one or two of the DIMM slots, and this is only a problem if you need to occupy all of the DIMM slots.

Right, I totally overlooked that lol. Thank you. Would you perhaps know an alternative? Cant seem to find / or know how to look for a CPU cooler with this chipset, used to Intel.

Thanks:)
