[SOLVED] CPU Fans, Corsair H100i Platinum SE & Case Fans

I have a NZXT H510 Elite case & a Corsair H100i Platinum SE CPU cooler where I've mounted the radiator to the left of the front case fans using those for blowing through the rad, and then decided to not use the two fans that came with the H100i cooler on the radiator. Instead, I used them in place of the rear case fan & the top case fan.

All fans spin up and work, including RGB.

However, I've noticed a few things I'd like to correct:
1. I want to ensure the front case fans spin according to the CPU temperature, and that the rear and upper case fans spin according to the general internal temperature of the case. Should I be connecting the front case fan power cable to one of the connectors coming from the H100i cooler?
Should I be connecting the rear and top fans to the motherboard's CHA_1 & CHA_2 headers?

2. I want to ensure all fans & the H100i's RGB lighting is hooked up properly.
The top and rear fans (the ones I from the H100i install package) synchronize with the H100i water pump RGB lighting. However the front case fans' RGB lighting seems to just remain as white most of the time.
Where should I connect the front case fan's RGB cable to?

3. Finally, assuming I finally get the RGB connected properly, where do I actually go and control it for all the fans?

1) if the fans are connect directly to the cooler;
you have to use the Corsair software provided with the cooler.

if the fans are connected to the motherboard;
you can either setup a fan speed curve profile in the BIOS or within the motherboard control software. these curve profiles can be setup based on CPU or other system temps.

if the fans are connected to a case fan hub;
this will in turn need to be connected to a motherboard fan header and it can also be controlled by BIOS and/or the motherboard control software.

2, 3) if you want all LEDs synced, they all have to be connected to the same source.

does the case have an included hub with LED headers?
did the H100i come with a separate Lightning Node or are the fan's RGB cables attached directly to the cooler?
if neither, all RGB devices will have to be connected to motherboard headers.

for the Corsair fan(RGB+) control, you need to use Corsair's iCUE control software.
for motherboard header's RGB control, you have to use the motherboard manufacturer's system control software. found on the product support download section of the manufacturer's website.

Thanks for this, but I think my issue is that the fans aren't connected necessarily to anything yet - I am trying to figure out the best path to get what I want out of it (as listed in my op).

Thanks very much, got it all working. It's a pity that case fan lights, H100i fans/cpu lights, and RAM fan lights all can't be controlled from a single hub/piece of software. I've matched the 3 pieces of software controlling lighting across those components, but it's not totally synchronized.
