Cpu for a msi b250m pro vd

Hi I wanted to upgrade my cpu to fit a 1080 FTW I got gifted since my actual cpu is bottlenecking as hell with the gpu, I need a cpu good enough to get rid of the bottleneck, pls anything between expensive and cheap that i can get, is there any compatible cpu for this motherboard or do I have to upgrade the motherboard no mather what, thanks for any suggestion

Absolutely that is. That's the latest generation i5 CPU. I think the only one above that one is the i5-8700k, which is a small difference.

The only problem is that I'm not very knowledgeable about Intel-Chipset Motherboards. And after looking at your motherboard's QVL list, I noticed that 8th generation Intel CPUs are not listed (probably because it came out after your motherboard came out). So maybe someone else can tell you if that's a good fit.

I don't want to give you a bad recommendation, so according to the QVL list, the best option you can get is the Intel i7-7700K, which goes for 329.90 Euros in Amazon.fr
