CPU for GA-H110M-S2H

I was going to buy the i5-8400 and saw somebody say it's not compatible with my mobo, I was wondering if some people can clarify if that's the case? And if so, what would be the best cpu I could get that's compatible for the £200 range

Yes - i5-8400 and GA-H110M-S2H are not compatible.

Best compatible cpu you can get for £200 would be i5-7500 (may be i5-7600).

also note this motherboard came out with the 6th generation intel core CPU's so you would need to update it to the latest BIOS in order to use a 7th gen one

if your uncomfertable updating thje BIOS you can go for a better 6th gen CPU like an i7 6700K

IMO it doesn't really make sense to get a 7th gen i5 for 200 pounds when you can get something like a Ryzen 2600 + b450 mobo for only a bit more. Ryzen and 8th Gen Intel kinda ruined the value proposition of 7th Gen, often even if you already have a 7th Gen compatible mobo. Unless you can find a good deal on a used one.
