Ok guys,I could really use some help.
I tried almost every site i could search but got no answer to my question.
So i decided to use my friends account on tomshardware and ask the community here.

So the thing is:
I have a Galaxy Gtx 770 I got as a b'day gift from my dad.
I am really happy with the card but I want to play the upcoming massive cpu intensive game WATCH DOGS.
My screen resolution is 1366x768 and i don't want to upgrade it now as im ok with it.

To the point:
I want a CPU AND MOBO which will be able to max out of all upcoming games with that card.
My current cpu is an i3 540 witha biostar hd 55 mobo but i want to change both.
Other than that i have 12 gbs ram at 1333mhz,antec V1 cabinet, antec 650 watt psu.

Just suggest me a good cpu and mobo.
thanks..

do some extra chores and get $15 more, then get this PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($112.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $332.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

it will perform better than a 4670, and the board is z97 meaning you can add a haswell chip, haswell refresh (the one i posted is this) and you can add (in the future) a devils cannyon or broadwell chip, and likely a skylake chip with a bios update, although skylake will...
what is your budget? if you have around $300 then this PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($227.94 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock B85 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $297.93
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

IF you dont plan on overclocking or going broadwell with your mobo, and if you do want more upgradability than get a z97 board. its kinda hard to recommend parts without a budget, could you please tell us yours?
