Hello, i am here, at Tom's hardware again. This site really helped me some time ago. When i wasn't able to decide what memory i had to buy. And now i am here with a simple and short question:

-Is my intel core i5 2320 bottlenecking with my gtx 970? might it be, that this cpu is just not enough to this gpu? btw, i think it is bottlenecking 😀D

You can run a utility such as HWmonitor to compare CPU and GPU usage. If you see your CPU cores at 100% and your GPU(s) at 99 or 100% utilization, you're not getting any bottlenecking with whatever software you're using. On the other hand, if your CPU cores are hitting 100% and your GPU(s) are under that, you're likely experiencing CPU bottlenecking.

You may be bottlenecking on CPU intensive games or software, but run a game like BF4 and it'll run like a champ with that setup.

I am using the recources monitor and gpu z to compare the cpu and gpu load. For testing i am using gtaV at full graphics. I think i have no bottleneck since the cpu and gpu loads are both at 99% more or less. But i am not so sure. I shot these screenshot, can you take a look at it and tell me your opinion? btw, how can i post a picture here?

Ok, then, this is the image

Looks good. You're CPU and GPU are regularly peaking.

Are you getting performance issues of any kind?

No, actually i can play gta5 and other games at maximum quality with minor fps drops, but. Is like, even in the maximum quality, sometimes, the grass, everything which is far away from me, like the mountains, some props etc... looks really bad, but i can perfectly run the game in the highest quality.

I can't understand it, i mean, if i had a lower performance gpu, which had like 1Gb of memory, it would make sense, to see things appearing and disappearing in front of me, or, see the vegetation looking like if it was set at lowest quality. I don't really know, but i was under the impression that there was occurring a tremendous bottleneck between my gpu and cpu. But it seems like it is not.

Then, the fact that, most of the things in game look bad, even though i run it at maximum quality. Would it mean, that is a an issue more related with the game itself than with my system configuration?
