Hi, my CPU has 8 pins power connector and my PSU has 4 pins HELP!I just built my first pc but the CPU power connector was really tricky. Please guys I need some help ASAP.I actually do not know but if there is an adapter or something else that may help please link it down for me. My motherboard is the MSI Z97 PC MATE. My PSU is the EVGA SUPERNOVA 750B. Please guys help me.

You didn't connect your 4+4 pins good probably. 2 hooks need to be in middle and it will give you proper 8 pin. After that just rotate that 8 pin to see from which side it will fit.It also can work fine with 4 pin just connected to motherboard.

You are right but the CPU1 power cable that has 4+4 pins doesn't fit in the CPU . That is because one of the CPU 4+4 power connectors have [2 SQUARED PINS AND 2 ROUNDED PINS ].The other 4 pins have [4 ROUNDED PINS] that's why only the first 4 pins can fit in the socket but the rounded pins cant. The PSU has 2 types of 4 pins because it was made to be plugged in a socket that either has 4 rounded pins or (2 SQUARED and 2 ROUNDED PINS)=4 pins but not both in one socket.

Bro I am not stupid! I saw every single pin and they are not the same. This problem is from the PSU thats why I need an adapter.
