Hello, I recently bought new CPU an i5-3330 and first time gaming reached 105ºC in minutes.
So I'm worried about that high temps.
My old i3-2100(stock cooler) max temps was around 70ºc and at 100% loads
I'm using stock heatsink with stock thermalpaste
But when was installing I accidently broke one of the push pins (is kinda locked cant push it) so I'm just using 3 push pins that can be the reason of that high temps?
appreciate any help Thankz

Solution

By 'fix', I meant buy a new CPU fan, and install it.

That is specifically the cause of the problem. The cooler is not making good contact with the CPU.
Fix that before you kill the CPU.

So, usually is fixable that push pin problem? Becouse it not look so bad is more than I cant push it.
It twisted at push and tried to aline then cant push anymore 🙁
