CPU Heatsink Compatability/Fit on ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z / Memory slots

Hello,

I am looking for a CPU heatsink for my ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z board. I have found conflicting information on if the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3 or the Thermalright Archon SB-E X2 heatsinks will interfere with the memory slots.

I am using G.Skill Trident X series ram. The sticks of ram have heat spreaders that are removable, but are still not "low profile".

Would the RAM I have interfere with the installation of either of the two above mentioned heatsinks?

Are there any other options?

I am looking for the following in a heatsink:
- Price is not an issue
- No water cooled solutions
- Aesthetics dont matter
- Prefer quieter solutions (hole reason I am undertaking this upgrade)
- must fit ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z with G.Skill Trident X ram

noctua u14s if you dont mind about money. on its own official website you can find its product's compatibility list on mobo and ram

Any idea on if either of the two heat sinks I mentioned would fit?

+1 for the Noctua NH-U14S http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C9FLSLY. It's is the most efficient air cooler. It will give you the lowest temperatures and also perform more quietly than any other option.

Thermalright Archon SB-E X2 is kind of similar to noctua u14s so yes it wont interfere your Ram's slot
