Hi,

Today I decided to install my I5 4670K. This was essentially a bit of a worry, as I placed the CPU too early (Couldn't hold onto it for much longer, so had to put it down), and moved it on the socket a little bit. When I moved it, there was a bit of a squeak noise coming from the cpu and socket. Is this a problem?

I also installed the Stock i7 4770K cooler on this CPU. Will this cause any cooling issues?

I'm starting to think I just ruined my socket.

Also, sorry if this is a duplicate, thought I might bet more replies here in the CPU sub forum as well, as it's essentially a CPU problem.

Solution

have you turned on the computer? and check the socket on the mobo to see if the pinsare ok, dont touch them
