So I just bought a pc (second hand) and it's great, working perfectly. But one concern i have is the temperature. When im just browsing the internet it stays around 40-45. When i start a game like dota 2 or NV and play it for a while, it gets hot (i think) about 75C. It's a Intel i7 960 4 cores 3.2ghz.
I dont know if its overclock or not (i should check that), nether do i know if my heat sink is working as it should. This is my first pc (i have been runing laptops) and if this is to hot pleas tell me and tell me how to fix it. Also if you could tell me how to se if my heat sink is active it would be great. Thx

Not necessarily, since the CPU can turbo up to 3.4 under load. The voltages are fine. Is the heatsink stock, or is it a beefier aftermarket one? Either way, you could try re-applying the thermal paste. It doesn't really matter which one, but the Arctic MX4 is a best-performer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186038&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-Skimlinks-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=12087162&PID=3899435&SID=skim1402X558040X87f365cec3e94c5cab649c8d386806bd&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_source=afc-Skimlinks
