Question CPU is always at max frequency

Does anyone know why my CPU is always running at max frequency even when idle? My cpu is i5 10300H.

Considering you're on a laptop processor, what is the make and model of your laptop? An SKU will help us two fold to know what you're working with. As for your platform, what OS are you working with? If Windows 10, can you open up task manager and see what your usage is when you're idling after booting into OS GUI?

Thanks for your reply! But I already found out why my CPU is always running at full speed. It is because I choose best performance as my power mode, when i change it to balanced, the frequency starts to go down.
