So I recently put together a new PC, and the CPU came with a stock fan that had thermal paste already on it.(cpu is amd fx 6300). I was installing it with a friend and he happened to touch the very edge of it. We also had some other thermal paste that we applied to it. I am wondering if the mix of the 2 may have caused this. I get random freezes where my computer locks up and I can see what I was doing and my computer stays on but I can't move the mouse, no keys are responding. A complete freeze but I can see my screens. I need help and fast because it's getting really annoying having it restart in the middle of a game! Thank you!

You always have to thoroughly clean off old thermal paste before applying new thermal paste. I don't know if what your describing is causing the crashes as you didn't mention the temperatures of your CPU or if it throttling. I'd recommend immediately cleaning off the mixture (look up a guide to do this and do it right) and reapplying a single thermal paste.
