CPU led status and CPU fan on after shutdown

I have a gigabyte aorus z370 ultimate gaming v2.0 and an Intel i7 8700k

I have stripped my build down to the motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler, Ram, and PSU.

I have also reset the motherboards CMOS and have done a couple reinstalling of windows 10 version 1703

But when I shut down the pc the CPU fan still left running along with the led status indicator for the CPU

What psu do you have? It sounds like it is sending power to the cpu even when it’s in the off state.

Your problem is that the cpu light and the cpu fan stay on while the computer is off correct? The motherboard might be the issue then. The psu has a switch inside that is controlled through the 24 pin connector to the motherboard which should turn off the power to most things when the computer is shut off.

I too belive that the mobo is the problem and will try getting its warranty
