CPU & MB To setup Home Lab to learn ESXI

Hi,

I am learning ESXi for that wanted to create Testing Home Lab as well as i will use this system to play games.

My current system configuration CPU is 1st Generation i3 & gigabyte board, Gigabyte 2 GB 960 GTX GPU, 8 GB DDR3 memory & Corsair 750CS power suppy.

I am Planning to Purchase CPU AMD FX 8350 & MSI 990 FXA Gaming MotherBoard or Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 MotherBoard as these easily available in India.

Will Above AMD processor & Board perform better for ESXi virtualisation setup?

If any other suggestion please let me know.

VS a gen 1 i3, definitely. You could save some money going with an FX 8300. Price/performance wise, it is AMD's best chip, right now.
