Alright, I turned my laptop off last night(Acer Aspire E1 522) and slept, got up this morning and turned it back on...it booted just fine and came upto the desktop so I left it on to eat breakfast, when I came back the screen was black and the HDD LED which is supposed to blink was off so I turned the laptop off by pressing the power button, removed all USB (mouse and headphone) turned it back on...then the screen blinked/flashed between a shade of pale green and black for 4 times or so then remained black, the HDD LED was off as well.

I had this issue a couple of times ago, turning the laptop on and off a couple of times worked...now it doesn't seem to work.

Please ask anything you want to know and pllllllleeeeeaaaaasssseeee halp me.

Ok then this is what I meant by power options view that link first.
Now heres what you want to do if your on a cord.
Set the power options to balance, let the ,screen turn off after 10 ten minutes.
Disable or tell power options do not put the computer in sleep mode mainly the hard drive.
There is a option for when you close the lid you can let it stay active, go to sleep or fully power off.
Set that to stay active on a cord, if your on the go, you may adjust it to go into sleep mode while closing the lid.

When I have laptops this is one good way I do this, also sorry for the late reply have alot going in my life currently.

It's somewhat challenging to change OS settings on a system that doesn't even start.

😛 Yeah you are right though I misread his post, however his issue is maybe a ram problem or bios.

Read this I don't know if the last post is correct but a memory stick swap out may fix it.
If not he will need to call acer soon and speak to a tier 2 or tier 3 technician to diagnose and fix it by rma support.
