When I boot my PC it says "CPU is not compatible, running in underclocked mode
I have been using this CPU for about a month now and never had this problem until yesterday after I installed new RAM

  • FX-8350 (am3+ socket) base speed is supposed to be 4.0 but running at 2.8
    Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2 (am3+ socket)
Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB) seems to be running at correct voltage
any ideas of what could be wrong? This problem only occured after I put in the new RAM

thank you for the response i don't know much about computers :/ so thank you

tried, didn't seem to help, I just think it's time to upgrade mobo

That CPU is usually a bad buy nowadays. If you absolutely can't afford to change CPU + mobo + RAM then you need to buy 970, 990 and 990FX mobo. Those are the only mobos support 8 core FX CPU.

And steer clear of FX-9590 or FX-9370 as upgrade path. Do not ever consider those in future, present or past.
