CPU not detected

My motherboard detect my cpu.
System SPECS
i5 6600k
hyper 212 evo
crucial 8 gb ddr4
z170 krait gaming
1 terabyte hard drive
onboard graphics
nzxt 530 source
seasonic 500 watts

Does the CPU fan spin when starting the board?

Try testing each slot with single RAM module installed. Is a monitor connected to the PC, or a tv?

A monitor is connected and I have a motherboard that tells me cpu not detected or fail

Check that both power connections to the mobo are good and snug (the 24 and the 8 pin)

My psu doesn't have a 8 pin. But the motherboard manual says 4 pin is ok

Generally a 4 pin is fine for a lower end CPU, with the onboard graphics in use it will prob need the 8 pin

It was working fine with 4 pins but i will try to get a better psu. My build was working fine before i updated the bios on the motherboard.
What other problems can it be?
