Hey all, hoping you can help me with this issue.
I've been running my current set up (with a GT710) for about a year now, and noticed that my CPU often heats up to about 70C-80C when I am not performing any active tasks, but programs such as Chrome, Spotify are currently running. When I recently upgraded my GPU to a 3070 Ti, temperatures are about the same, but within a few minutes of the PC turning on, it would restart and give me the "CPU Over Temperature Error". I have a feeling there is something wrong with the CPU that is wrong causing it to reach such high temps in the first place, but I have reapplied the thermal paste to the cooling fan unit, and temps are about the same.
Any help on the matter would be great!
Here's my parts list:
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550F
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: Palit Geforce GT710 ---> Gigabyte Aorus 3070 Ti
CPU Fan: Cooler Master A71C
