Solution
2700 RPM sounds reasonable, so I doubt it is actually trapped air - but it was worth a try.

I suggest you try to remove the pump assembly, wipe off the thermal paste (both from the CPU and the cooler), clean the both CPU and cooler with isopropylalcohol, then re-apply thermal paste and re-install the cooler.
You will need fresh thermal paste for this, as you shouldn't re-use the pre-applied thermal paste once the cooler has been removed, as cooling performance will be degraded.

Have you changed any settings in the Extreme Tweaker menu in BIOS? That's where the OC settings are located, so unless everyhting is at safe settings or defaults, you should try loading optimized defaults, as that will reset all settings to safe values.

You...
If you can’t find the right menu in BIOS, use the BIOS search function, as I mentioned.
It says in the top of the BIOS which F-key to press, in order to open the search tool.
Make sure you are viewing BIOS in “Advanced Mode”, and not “EZ Mode”.
Search for NVMe, and look for any menus related to NVMe drives.
Look for the menu “NVMe Configuration” in particular. If the drive is installed correctly, it should be listed there.

if it isn’t listed, switch BIOS mode from “Legacy & UEFI” to “UEFI” and try again. Look in your manual if you don’t know how to change this setting.

I have to go to sleep now, it is almost midnight here - hopefully someone else can help, I’ll look through the thread again tommorrow.

EZ Mode is not in BOOT priority, it is a setting for viewing BIOS. There are two versions of how you can view the BIOS. "EZ Mode" and "Advanced Mode".

The board you have defaults to advanced mode, so you should be good. I only mentioned it, to be sure we are looking at the same menus, otherwise my directions aren't worth much, if I'm looking at advanced mode, and your are in EZ mode 😉

If the drive is listed under NVMe Configuration, it is installed correctly.

It will not show up in BIOS BOOT Priority until Windows is installed on the drive.

So you should be able to see the drive and install Windows to it, then after installing Windows, you reboot, go to BIOS, go to BOOT Prioities and set the NVMe as boot drive.

But I'm not sure I understand what you mean, when you say you maybe can see it, but then can't see it - what do you mean?

EDIT : I'm glad you figured it out :)
