CPU Overclocking Problems

Hello, I have an I5-6600K and I have been trying to overclock it to run a little higher. Turbo boost speed normally is 3.6 ghz, and I'm trying to get it to run at 3.8 or 3.9. The problem is though, when I go into the bios, the base clock speed multiplier is changed to 38, but the speed does not change whenever I reboot. What am I doing wrong here?

Do you mean that the BIOS is not retaining your new clock speed? If so are you sure you are saving your changes in the BIOS before rebooting?

Sorry, I figured it out, it’s the motherboard I have, it doesn’t allow me to overclock the cpu
