cpu overheated nowonly the power light turns on

I overclocked my ohenom x2 b59 to 3.9ghz from 3.4.while I was playing dayz stanalone I smelled something hot then my compter shut down and now only the power button lights up and the psu fan isnt spinning. I already disconnected everything and reconnected but it still does the same thing. I dont know if I have to wait for my cpu to cool down or if its dead or my psu is busted. My other specs are r7 260x gpu 12g of ram and 500gb of hdd and my mb is 960gm vgs3 fx am3+

What did you mean you smelled something hot? Did you see smoke or smell burning electronics? You might have fried the PSU, sure. Post your power supply.
