Hi!
So, recently my H100i died, god knows why, and my CPU was crazy hot. So of course i instantly went to buy a simple but good air cooler.
With that, i thought it was enough....sadly, my CPU is still reaching crazy hot temperatures while gaming, to the point where my PC just freezes and crash onto the bluescreen.
Ive tried reapplying everything, checking if its well screwed in, doubled checkd everything.....i have no clue at this point whats going on....
Any help please??

What CPU, What cooler, how hot? is it overclocked? what are you reading the temperature with? A bit more detail would be helpful.

The main culprits are usually poorly applied TIM or a mounting issue with a new cooler. With old coolers it's sometimes also worn out fans, clogged with dust, dead water pump, etc.
Are you sure it's mounted properly?

thnx for the response
lets go in order
  • CPU: i7 4790k
  • cooler MASTER AIR 610
  • 80-90 C while gaming
  • not overclockd because of all these
  • temperature from Afterburner, openhardwaremonitor, etc
and yes....ive double checkd the mounting 🙁

any other clue T.T?
