I recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu for my gaming pc. My old motherboard couldnt support the numerous fans my Case provided so i bought a new motherboard but in turn also had to upgrade my cpu.
Anyway i installed everything and alls working great however at least 4 times out of 10 when i turn my pc on before it gets to the splash screen it i get the "CPU overheating error, Press F1 to run Setup"
When i press F1 im taking into my Asus motherboard setup settings and it gives me a whole load of information from how many fans i have running, to the fans RPM and the CPU temperature. When i get the overheating error and i press F1 my cpu temp is usually sitting at about 71°C and then instantly starts to drop to about 60, as soon as it starts to drop i am able to save and exit and all works fine. The CPU is brand new, surely a brand new cpu cant ramp its temp up to 70°C as soon as its turned on?
Can anyone help?
