So i am having this problem. i installed my pc and this happened : http://imgur.com/a/Y0rxF

It happened several times when installing windows and i saw it was maybe cpu overheating, reseated and no problems afterwards, but after a month while watching movies in a air conditioned room it happened again.

For those saying GPU, it happened without a gpu installed.

CPU: i7-4770
Mobo: MSI z97-gaming 3
CPUI cooler: cooler master something something (i know its a crappy one but still shouldnt happen)

The cpu sometimes heats up to 90 degrees while rendering.

Any ideas? thanks!

first i had the intel stock cooler, i reseated and applied thermal paste. it worked, not weird artifacting but then it got to 90 in renderings so i thought well, i will buy this cheap cooler master cooler which is better, it did help it but then this happened today while watching movies without rendering anything or doing anything.

What cooler master make you have bought!

cooler master a115

Have you tried using another display to make sure its not the monitor fault!

yes

Is the CPU legit or fake cause some Intel stock fan performs better and I use a i7 with a stock Intel fan and it does not show any rendering problems, or maybe the CPU fan is damaged?
