My desktop has been shutting down while I play games on it. It's changed the entire build 2 years ago leaving the case and the power supply. After having it upgraded, I ran a few games on high resolution, and it was working quite well. In the last 2 years of it having ran some games (since I don't always play games on it, I just use it for school and web browsing), it has shut down at least twice or thrice. That's why I decided to run games in mid setting or low to try and prevent it from shutting down, and adding 2 molex fans directly plugged in the power supply. But the last week it has been shutting down very often while I play Dota2 and that's not very pleasing at all considering it's an online game. I decided to open it and I found that the power supply fan had not been working quite well, so I had to fix and replace its fan since when it shut down I felt the top of my unit was very hot and I was suspecting it would be the power supply and it was. So now it's fixed (I also already aired out the dust off the entire unit, I always clean it). But it still has been shutting down like crazy, I've already replaced the thermal paste on my cpu and it was still shutting down. So the last time it shut down I checked the bios to see if I overclocked it in the past and it was on default setting. And in the bios I saw the cpu temperature was at around 80-90 (I'm not entirely sure of the exact trmperature) slowly decreasing down to 70. I was thinking it was the cpu fan, so I opened it up and checked the fan and heatsink and it was very hot. I've read some threads on here that it might be the cpu fan but I don't know if it is since it's working extremely well, just that the cpu overheats eventually but (the fan) still works properly and doesn't slow down. I really have no idea what other problems may be which is why I'm consulting you guys here.
