Question CPU power cord blocked on motherboard

Just bought a Corsair CX650M power supply to go with an msi k96npgm2-v motherboard. Pc part picker says they are compatible, but the CPU power cord doesn’t fit in the socket due to a component on the board that is blocking the cord from going into the socket. The socket has 4 pins, but the cord has 8, and the left side of the pins fits, but it’s blocked by the little wheel wrapped in wire next to the socket. The right 4 don’t fit in the socket. Is there a way to make it fit? Or is this power supply not compatible?

EDIT: I have since realized that pc part picker has a slightly different model of motherboard, so it’s just the motherboard that’s not compatible.

You can split the 8 pin in two 4 pin connectors.
