Hello community,

I would like to upgrade my pc that I built in 2019, as I am limited on graphics and fps. Here is my current configuration :

  • Power supply : EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3, 650W
  • Monitor : AOC Q3279VWF FreeSync
  • CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (3.2 GHz)
  • Motherboard : Asus PRIME B450M-A
  • GPU : EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 BLACK EDITION, 8 Go
  • Storage : Samsung Série 860 QVO, 1 To, SATA III
  • Memory : DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX, Noir, 16 Go, 3000 MHz, CAS 16
  • Case : Cooler Master MasterBox NR400
I think that for the moment, I can get good performance by upgrading only the processor, CPU and maybe memory. What do you think?

Approximate Purchase Date: as soon as possible

Budget Range: €700-800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the internet

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: I think the motherboard, processor and some RAM

Do you need to buy OS: No

Location: France/Paris

Overclocking: Don’t know

Multiple GPUs: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 2560x1440p

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm starting to play games like World of Warcraft again and I'm forced to set the graphics to minimum, and even with that, the fps is 50.

I've been recommended the same configuration but with the motherboard below. Is one better than the other?
Motherboard: *MSI PRO B850-P WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
That depend entirely what you mean by better. The one I linked has 2 more USB slots but a slower UCB-C port, a 1gbps ethernet port vs 5gbps, and wifi-6e vs wifi 7. The one I linked is also 40 euros cheaper. If you like the extra features of the other board but are okay losing 2 USB-A ports then get the B850 board.
