cpu rendering at 78 degrees?

hello guys when i render my cpu si reaching 78-80 degrees for 10-15 minutes straight im using stock cooler is it dangerous? did i jsut damage my cpu?

On such demanding applications , such as rendering, the CPU gets pretty hot especially with the stock cooler.
You did not damage it , but you should go for a better cooling solution , such as the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO.

That is okay, if it got over 80 I would look into a new fan.

Edit: As Chump said, you could invest in a better cooler and might not be a bad idea. I recommend the Cryorig H7

80c for an Intel is well within specs, for an AMD, just over the comfortable limits.

As he said a Cryorig or the tried and trust CM Hyper 212 Evo.
