Edit: Derp, I'm dumb, I just saw the thread title and thought this was the official comment thread for the article. I've noticed the comment sections tend to be a little slow in appearing, wouldn't surprise me if the official thread shows up later.

He must mean the (formerly) usual official comment thread that used to be linked at the bottom of stories before the forum software switch. Guessing those used to he automatically generated when stories went live and they aren't there yet with the new software.
