So first off, I realized my ddr4 ram was not running at 3000 mHz as advertised. So I learned I needed to go and set an XMP profile in the BIOS, which I did (ASUS mobo Ez tune).
That setting also changed some funky thing call "sync all cores" to "auto" for the CPU. I'm not overclocking and I'm using a standard cooler (I know I know I should upgrade lol), should I figure out how to change that setting back or is it not a problem?
Second, now that I have CPU-Z, I see that my CPU is sitting at about 817 mHz instead of 3.4 gHz with random jumps up. Is that just it idling?
I really don't want to hurt my computer I hope I didn't mess something up by enabling XMP ;_;
Will either the RAM or CPU overheat now?
Thanks for any help!
