CPU sitting at 40-51 degrees Celsius Idle (a full 10 degrees higher than a few weeks ago), not sure why, recommendations?

Okay so I just built my first PC just a few weeks ago. So back when I first built my PC, the 7700K CPU was OCed to 4.5GHz at around 32C-38C at Idle and 73C-79C at load. Not bad so far.

However, since then I've had one blue screen which scared me enough to clock down to 4.3GHz and temperatures are abnormally higher at Idle which are around 40C to even 51C at around 3-9% load. Load is surprising cool at 67C-70C.

Ever since I downloaded Asus's AI Suite and used Fan Xpert 4 to "optimize" my fans the temperatures have settled at 40ish degrees at idle and I don't know why. I've been fixing fan curves and everything but still no difference in temperatures.

This leads me to a few questions:
1. I don't know what software to trust for CPU temps; CAM says 45C, Asus Fan Xpert 4 says 32C, AIDA 64 says 57C, and in BIOS my temps are 38C.

2. Also how do I remove my custom fan curves in Asus AI Suite before deleting it so I can have them be controlled by the motherboard again. OR do I need AI Suite?

I'm really at a loss to what I should do to lower my idle CPU temps, physically inside the case it feels relatively cool in both exhaust and intake.

That may be true, the highest temperature yesterday was 80F. I live in Texas where temperatures were high for the winter. The weekend that I built was 67F average. The weekend after is when I measured my "winter" temps so I can know where my PC can sit happily for overclocking. I'll take your word for it and I'll just measure again for Spring. And well maybe I'm just worrying too much about it.
Thank you.
