Question CPU socket pins - A way to check if everything is fine after a repair ?

Just BE sure the pins don't touch each other.
if a cpu was blown before, most likely the motherboard is not repairable and already dead. would get a used and good board instead
you could try something like this
or get just the cheapest cpu for your board and test it

No, no the CPU that blew... that was nearly 20 years ago on a very old PC (back then PSUs didnt have SCP, we lived very dangerously lel). Thanks for the tip, but any other way than being "Sure", measurment of resistance with a DMM, but from my other thread a very helpfull fella said that measuring the 8PIN CPU connector is not an indication of pins not touching/short circuit test, i was wondering.. where can i probe then ? Each component thats in the "Choke" circuit that modulates power for the CPU ? 😱
