CPU Socket Type and SATA questions

I need to know what type of CPU Socket I would need for an Intel i7-4770K processor.

Also, what is a more simplified definition of what I need SATA Connections for?

The 4770K uses the LGA 1150 socket. Usually you'll need SATA connections for drives - SSD, hard drives, optical drives. Unless you have an unusual requirement for SATA connectors, you should get a sufficient number of SATA data cables with your motherboard and power cables with your PSU. You'll need to check the accessories provided prior to purchase though.

So, would having about 5 SATA connection ports be good enough if I need extra along the line? And if possible, could you help me find a motherboard from $150-$200 (preferrably close to the middle point) that can work with the processor?

5 is more than enough for most setups , nice video above done by Linus all about SATA.

To be honest, I was actually looking at the HERO motherboard and was going to ask about that, what are the key differences between the two other than the obvious pricing?

I saw that theres 4 less SATA 6 Gb/s and one more SATA Express for the Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150, would 4 be enough to have one or two extra? I am terribly new to PC building.

My current motherboard choice is close to the HERO's price. Is there anything else I need to be sure of? Graphics card compatibility? RAM? Etc.

Costs less than the RAM I'm getting! Nice. Will that be compatible with a GeForce GTX 760? Or is there nothing but what type of motherboard you have that determines compatability

I plan on getting a Corsair HX850 850w Modular Power Supply with 80+ Gold, so it should be reliable I would think. Thanks!
