Hey, so I got this weird problem with my laptop. Whenever I got it plugged in and it's charging, the cpu will drop down to around 0,30/0,40 Ghz but when it's plugged out it goes normal again at full speed 2,40 Ghz. It only happens when the charger is plugged in.

Also happens when playing games so it makes my laptop really slow. When it'd plugged out while playing games it keeps the full performance.

Any idea's?

That's a common behavior for laptops, some downclock themselves to consume less energy, therefore prolonging the battery time.
But that normally only happens when the battery is really low, if it's happening while above 30% then maybe's it's a configuration problem, check for that and try to reset to default.

Or, maybe your battery is problematic and when the charger is unpluged the laptop understand that's low on energy and does what you said, and when it's plugged it can retain it's normal speed again.

The only thing i can think could be causing this would be thermal throttling, if the laptop is being charged then it will be producing more heat therefore forcing the PC to downclock CPU/GPU etc in order to keep a stable temperature.

The temperature of my laptop is fine, it doesn't heat up or anything. I don't think it's normal behavior for a laptop since I'm the only one having it in my classroom. The battery is always above 30% so it's not low either, the settings are put on default as well.

I got the standard bios that you use with your keyboard, not sure if there are different version's but it didn't help fix the problem. Sorry.
