CPU switch broken

Hello.
I'm here to seek help on how to fix my CPU which it's switch is broken.

My CPU occasionally has trouble switching on (sometimes not opening even after hours of pressing the switch), but for some months it had no problem, till recently.

I tried to switch it on last week, and it didn't turn on again. I pressed the switch hardly (because that made it switch on previously), then the switch didn't click when pressed. There was no 'click' sound when pressing the switch.

I then opened the CPU to examine the switch inside, and found a broken part of a circuit board which had a switch.

I think that's the CPU switch which I broke because of pressing it too hard. Sorry. 🙁

Here's the photo:

And the back part of it, just in case:

So, is there a way to fix this (keep in mind that I am no tech wiz), or do I have to buy a new part/ power supply? How much do those cost?

All help is appreciated immensely.

Addendum: On other topics which had the similar problem, I read about connecting some 'pins' on the motherboard. Again, I'm no tech whiz.

But also just in case, my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2.

If your case has one, you can simply swap the reset button with the power button connection on the motherboard and then use the reset button to power on the system.

DO NOT permanently connect the power button headers on the motherboard ( ..."I read about connecting some 'pins' on the motherboard). You will damage your system doing this.

If you don't have a reset switch, let me know and I'll help you track down an alternate switch for the power button (or you could get a new case).

Thank you very much!
With your tip & the help of my father, it worked!

I'm typing with my now-fixed PC!

It really helped that my father is a technician, and your tip helped equally as well when my father got confused. 😛
Again, thank you very much!!! :) 😀
